Be on Time.
It is important that you are on time. Be at least 10 – 15 minutes early. This demonstrates that you are serious about the
position and shows your level of responsibility. Below are some tips to help you be on time.
- Find out the location beforehand. It is good to drive to the location a day or two before the interview. This way you
know exactly were you have to be.
- Prepare your outfit the night before.
- Check your alarm clock to be sure it is set for the correct time. If your interview is in the morning and you are not a
morning person, set two alarm clocks.
- Prepare all your paperwork the night before.
Practice, Practice, Practice.
It is important to practice. Without practice is like is like a dancer performing opening night with rehearsing.
Keep your answers brief, concise and relevant to the current position.
Employers are looking to see how your past experiences can benefit the company. Keep your answers focused on how
your experiences relate to the current position.
Include quantifiable data.
Be sure to provide concrete quantifiable results. If you generalize your quantifiable results, this may convince the
interviewer that you lack interest in how you benefited your previous employers.
Repeat your key strengths.
It is important to explain how your strengths relate to the company’s goals and how they might benefit from your strengths.
Ask Questions
Asking the interviewer questions can make a tremendous impression.
Research the company.
Researching the company will give you information that will help you decide if the company is a good fit for you. Also it
shows the interviewer that you are serious about contributing the benefits of the company.
